An effective landfill air monitoring plan typically requires simultaneous measurement of multiple pollutants. Dust and particulate (including PM₁₀ and PM_2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ozone, hydrogen sulfide, and methane all have the potential to rise above safe levels and put operators at risk of non-compliance. Even after capping a landfill, covering it with a geomembrane or thick layer of clay, this layer can still break down over time, releasing methane and other gas pollutants into the surrounding atmosphere. The AQS 1 simultaneously monitors multiple particle mass size fractions and delivers parts-per-billion (ppb) detection of airborne gas pollutants. A flexible, modular design allows users to add new parameters as needed, with modules available for noise, wind, and other environmental factors.
