Mining Air Monitoring
Safeguard workers and communities and maintain compliance with a real-time mining air quality monitoring solution.
As demand for minerals and aggregates continues to increase, mining and quarry operators often find themselves caught between a rock and a hard place. More stringent environmental controls can make it challenging to meet this demand, with any new permit typically requiring a period of air quality monitoring before, after, and sometimes during the development phase. For responsible operators looking to protect workers, maintain compliance, and expand production, an affordable, portable, real-time air quality monitoring system is a must. Our mining air monitoring solutions include the fixed Aeroqual AQS 1 and AQM 65 monitors, purpose-built to deliver reliable air quality data in just about any climate.
Maintain compliance with a real-time monitoring solution
Safeguarding workers and surrounding communities from airborne dust and particulate is a primary concern for regulators. Nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, or hydrogen sulfide can also be a factor (along with methane when monitoring air quality at coal mines). The AQS 1 and AQM 65 offer simultaneous measurement of multiple particle mass fractions (including PM1, PM2.5, PM10, and TSP). A flexible, modular design includes a selection of gas modules calibrated using reference materials traceable back to international standards. The ultra-portable, handheld Ranger allows users to swap between sensor heads in seconds, with no additional calibration required, making it easy to gather real-time measurements anywhere on site.
Capture accurate air quality data in even the most extreme environments
Our fixed monitoring stations are housed in a robust, weatherproof enclosure with solar shielding armor and a high-reflective powder coating, reducing the thermal impact on measurement and components. The AQM 65 has an operating range from -35 °C (-31 °F) all the way up to 50 °C (122 °F). The AQS 1 and Dust Sentry boast a similar operating range (with the addition of an available winterization kit for especially cold climates). Whether you’re operating in the far north or in desert-like conditions, our air monitoring solutions are built to maintain reliable performance in almost any environment.
Set up and reposition monitoring stations with ease
Traditional monitoring stations not only tend to be expensive, but they’re also often too bulky to shift easily around the work site. Aeroqual’s mining air monitoring solutions are lightweight, lower-cost, and integrated with cloud software that connects you to remote data and alerts. Set up and deploy monitoring stations in minutes, relocating monitors with ease as needed. We’ve helped clients like Rio Tinto, Ridley Terminals, and AngloGold Ashanti establish flexible, real-time air monitoring networks, producing defensible data and offering world-class protection.
