New team to drive Aeroqual growth

After a period of intensive technical innovation, the Board has decided to make two new appointments to the executive team.

Mark Templeton replaces Brett Wells as Chief Executive Officer, and Carl Beck will head up sales, marketing, and business development. Carl and Mark are an experienced and successful commercial team, having worked together in previous businesses.

Mark comes to Aeroqual with a track record of growing technology and engineering companies into significant international businesses based on a strong customer focus. He was the founding CEO of Environmental Science and Research which is one of New Zealand’s Government Research Institutes, and he sits on the Advisory Board at the New Zealand Manufacturing Materials Accelerator, a joint public and private initiative. He is familiar with the competitive demands of environmental science-based manufacturing businesses. Mark has been on the Aeroqual Board for over a year and so already has knowledge of the business.

Carl is a technology commercialization and early-stage growth specialist with particular expertise in clean and sensor tech companies. A trained scientist he has led the overseas expansion in several New Zealand-originated businesses and has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and Australasia. In the United Kingdom, Carl led a cleantech business incubator which helped companies raise over GBP 80 million in funding in one year.

Since its inception, Aeroqual has proven its technical strength and ability to develop products for diverse customer needs across international markets. Going forward Mark, Carl and the team will look to deepen quality and support systems to ensure the success of the products and the customers who use them.
