Aeroqual has moved to a new custom built lab, factory and office complex in Avondale, Auckland that has five times the capacity of its previous premises in Mt Eden.

With careful planning it only took two days of packing and two days of moving and unpacking to enable us to start work in our new home on March 1^st. The bespoke facility will allow us to expand our production capacity, improve quality, and accommodate a growing team as demand for our air quality sensor technology products continues to grow year on year.

With an ever expanding team and increasing orders it was important that our new home accommodate both well into the future while stepping up a gear in everything we do. Our new facility incorporates special ESD flooring, negative pressure building ventilation design, laboratory specification design lab, manufacturing and test areas, dedicated outdoor instrument testing bays and full temperature controlled building environment.  

Just as important as the technical features was ensuring everyone at Aeroqual was involved in the design and functionality of the new premises. We held numerous workshops with staff and our design partners at Better by Design (we even developed our own “aerogram” postcards for staff input!).

We wanted to put our customers at the heart of our new workspace. Based in New Zealand and exporting 99% of what we make, it’s important that we keep our customers top of mind. We dedicated a glass fronted room at the entrance of the office to customer profiles, and user journeys and it has become the space of choice when thinking about how to improve the customer experience of our products.

In the office the days of bumper chairs is over, with an increase from 85 m₂ to 240 m₂, quiet spaces, and a whole floor with eight meeting rooms versus the previous four means we are ready to grow. But the best feature of all is our fibre optic internet connection increasing our connection speed from 2 MBS to 100 MBS!
